The first step is taming your horse like normal. You will then need to "name" your horse using a NAME TAG item.
A new recipe has been added that allows you to create these items:
Once you have a Name Tag you will need to take it to an anvil to rename it using the "Repair & Name" function (this costs experience):
Now that you have your name tag, select it and right click on a tamed horse. That horse will now be named and registered to you as it's owner. Other players will not be able to steal or damage your horse (but you and monsters can still hurt it). You can add other players to the access list by using "/stables AddRider <name>" and then punching the horse you wish to add the permissions to.
Storing and retrieving your horse from stables:
There are five stables located in the world at the moment. One is outside the north exit of Town. The other four are outside of each train substation. This will allow you to store a horse at a train station, ride to another location, and then retrieve your horse there.
Please note these limitations of the mod:
- Storage does *NOT* save chests right now
- Storage does *NOT* save saddles right now
- Storage does *NOT* save Horse Speed (This is a Minecraft/Bukkit limitation)
Storing your horse:
Find the sign that says "[Stables]". Punch the sign and then punch the horse your wish to store.
Retrieving your horse:
Use the command "/recover" to see a list of all of your horses. Find the number of the horse you wish to recover.
Use the command "/recover 1" to recover the first horse in the list.
You must be standing near the [Stables] sign to recover your horse.
There is currently no cost for stable storage.
